After defining the data and running the PRELIM command, you should choose one or more possible analysis commands. To estimate summaries such as partisan bias and responsiveness, use SUM. To plot seats-votes curves, use SVCURVE. You can get specific predictions of statewide seat proportions, given specified vote proportions with the SEATS command. District-level vote and seat predictions are made with the DISTS command. The FREQ command will enable you to estimate the proportion of districts falling in a range of vote proportions or the proportion of winners among some group of legislators. PROB will give the expected number of marginal seats and characterize districts in other ways according to the probability of specified candidates of winning or losing election.
