Vignettes:
  1. [Margaret] participates in a survey study. The researcher tells her that all of her answers will remain confidential. He sends a draft of his research report to her before publication to confirm that the report contains no confidential information.

The researcher informs her that she can refuse to answer any questions that she feels uncomfortable with, and her answers will be grouped with those from other respondents and used in a research publication. Her name will not be mentioned in the article.
